Take Your Pants Off and Celebrate Light Rail
I think it’s safe to say that sometimes Seattle gets slightly envious of its more cosmopolitan counterparts. We are not quite a Boston or a New York. Part of that is less diversity, but a big part has been the lack of a great transportation system. That is being changed with the emergence of light rail and I have the perfect way to celebrate.
Come on down to 4th and Pine on Sunday, January 10th in order to meet up for a pants-free ride on the light rail. The event (more than 700 people have signed up on the Facebook group.) is being held by Emerald City Improv.
This is not the first time the group has tried this event in Seattle- last year, seven men successfully rode the SLUT (and, no, I do not mean a loose woman, but the South Lake Union Transit) in boxers. Without a real train, and without more people, the event was not as successful as New York’s and once again, Seattle was left in the dust.
If you do decide to ride sans pants on the new transit system with your new best friends, the organizers advise you to wear modest underwear. No thongs, and definitely no ass-less chaps. This might make it less fun, but will lessen the chances of causing a disturbance that nobody wants. You also need to bring the correct fare and a bag to put your pants into after you take them off in the train.
