The classiest joint for a naked lady to work is shutting down it's doors after 27 years of business. The Crusty, as an old friend of mine - and former stripper, used to call it, is no more. Now, I can't speak for the stripping business itself, my experience with the Lusty Lady is one of innocent bystander, well I wait for my bus right outside on First Avenue, under the famous pink and black marquee. I never actually went inside the Lusty Lady, but I am familiar with the tawdry and silly messages on the marquee used to entice horny men, and meant to entertain anyone with a sense of humor. Personally, that is what I will miss most about the Lusty Lady closing, that sign spiced up the landscape of new buildings that popped up around it over the years. It was like a piece of old Seatlle, the slutty piece of Seattle that kept this place from being completely sterile and uptight. Oh well, I guess the plastic legs of the De Javu across the street will now be the beacon to Seattle boners.
