In August, Seattle was subjected to a rare treat. No, I’m not talking about Sea-Fair, but about a Michael Jackson Flash Mob in different locations in Seattle. A flash-mob is a seemingly impromptu dance that has actually been choreographed and rehearsed for weeks in advance and the Michael Jackson “Beat It” Flash Mob was performed in three different places in Seattle.
This weekend, those strolling around the streets of Seattle will be able to witness another Flash Mob, this time based on the songs and dances of popular TV show Glee. Some of the songs included are “Proud Mary” and “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Somebody to Love”.
The best parts of the upcoming dance routine (in my opinion) are the series of instructional videos that the dance organizers put together. I will not be participating in the event and since the locations have yet to be disclosed, it is nice to know that I can practice the up-coming dance in the safety and comfort (and privacy) of my own living room.
For those of you wishing to get in on the action, try attending the final rehearsal at the Century Ballroom this Friday at 6:00pm.
